Well, it's been a hot minute!

So sorry we haven't had any updates for a while; we've been so, so busy with solar and now, batteries. To be honest, it's probably the busiest the industry has ever been. And that's made life very interesting indeed.
Firstly, we have to say that the battery transition hasn't been an easy one. Previously, we were a busy battery company. And we installed one maybe every two to three months. They weren't common, and most installers were not battery accredited, as they didn't need to be. And now, we're doing them on nearly every job! A major change to our tried and very tested model and methods.
Also, the different products and after-sales customer service from the manufacturers have been very interesting to deal with. Some are far better than others, and some are just about impossible to deal with. It's easy to get help with an inverter, for example. However, when throwing batteries into the mix, there's far less technical support (and a lot of the support doesn't speak English, so it has to be done via messaging services). Which has made installers' jobs a nightmare, as there are many callbacks for simple things. Mostly just misunderstanding of charging and discharge, etc. But still time-consuming, which is also very costly.
We unfortunately had to go back to many homes just to help customers understand what is going on and how they actually work (once again, sometimes talking over the phone isn't enough). This has meant a lot of lost time and stress and is just part of the process when a new product is being used en masse. For example, two weeks ago we spent 5 hours at a home, only to find out that it was a grid voltage issue and nothing on our behalf. It's life, and it's business, but it's still tough for a company to deal with and goes to show that you really have to choose an installer well when doing this. If it goes wrong, well, without the right support, it's a proper nightmare.
Thankfully things have settled down now, and we're once again becoming a well-oiled machine. We really do thank everyone who has put their faith in us to get this done for them. And we thank everyone for being patient if there's been any issues. We will get them all sorted always. Rest assured!
Stay sunny, everyone.
