Well, first things first, hello to everyone, and we hope you're all doing well as usual. Yes, we have a change to the battery rebate coming, and yes, it has made things even crazier and even busier than they were. Seriously, we've never seen a start to the year like this in our 16 or so years as a team!
It's so crazy right now that many companies are advertising for installers, not customers. Yes. You read that right. And companies that bring in new business can't find anyone to work with!
Personally, we are still taking new customers but at a very reduced rate, and we are focusing on servicing our existing clients as best we can. It's been very tough, and the team is very tired, but we're mostly getting it done as we should. We do, however, apologize if we can't see a warranty claim within 24 hours or to people like our island customers, who we've really struggled to service. And that includes Sue, who, if you've ever had an appointment with us, you'd know. We just have to juggle an unbelievable workload and, unfortunately, many issues with stock supply, etc., that come with these boom times.
Thank goodness we are a very well-oiled machine, or, to be honest, we would have fallen apart by now. And we tightly control our sales volumes, so anyone who we are selling to can be guaranteed they will not be affected by the changes.
Now we must stress, it's not the end of the world and will only affect larger batteries than 15 kW, but unfortunately that's the majority of people at the moment, so it's a race against the clock. It will mean a price increase for some but not enough to stop people from doing it in the future. However, we can't see the work rate dying down anytime soon at this point.
We will give more information on this in due course, but we hope this helps some of you for now.
Stay sunny, all you legends reading this!
