Sigenergy recall. Please don't worry about us; we didn't sell them!

And we did warn many people about new products when this battery rebate exploded. And, unfortunately, a lot of our industry is made up of either sales companies with no technical expertise or experience. And/or tradesmen with no understanding of manufacturing, sales, and marketing and, to put it nicely, business acumen.

Sigenergy had amazing marketing and due to their Victorian market share, had the second largest installation volume in the country. However, in our experience, new companies and technical products have issues, so we sat it out.

In hindsight, it was a move of genius. Some in the industry even asked if we had been warned of something.

In the end, we trusted our gut, and we have managed to dodge the recall bullet. Hopefully everything will be resolved and no one will lose out too badly due to this. Unfortunately, however, it could mean some massive wait times for customers' products and/or warranty claims. That's if they have already installed the product. If you haven't, well, hopefully your solar companies have a good plan b.
