It's here. The battery revolution is here. But, what do you need, what should you spend?

Well, finally the battery rebate has arrived. It's not what has been marketed by so many for months now, not even close, but it is here.
There is a rebate of around $370 per kw of battery installed, up to 50kws. But it's a minefield, and we will see a problem 100 times bigger than pink batts as a result of it.
First things first. If you want a battery do it properly. We can easily match anyone in price and we can sell you what you want. But that doesn't make it a good idea just do go with what's cheap and cheerful. You need to remember something here. Batteries are not solar. They are far, far more dangerous if done wrong or the wrong products used. And, you've essentially put a bomb into your home if you do it wrong. And, it really is a bomb!
Now on the flip side, if done correctly could very well mean the end of electrical bills for many, many people reading this. But the company you buy from will need to carefully look at your usuage and have a very comprehensive understanding of how batteries and energy usuage in general works. I can personally say from experience that local one man bands never have to bother with these kinds of things, and large overseas call centres simply couldn't give a shit. So you'll need to research what you're told and double check everything. That doesn't mean they're all bad, not at all. But there's a lot to go through to get to the good ones.
Now, if this is you, and you know how to sift through the bullshit, then batteries will change your life. If it's not, perhaps don't do them for now. There's no point saving 5 grand for something that loses you 50k down the line.
So remember right now, read your terms and conditions. If there is a clause saying the price and product are subject to change, then that's surely what will happen. And remember, you sign up to the contract terms and conditions, not what you discussed!
Good luck with the revolution, everyone!
