A 40kw monster on a monster home!

The owner, who we will not name for various reasons, was a wonderful guy and was self-made, no less! But man, did that house have a thirst for power.

It was a property where this author learned just how expensive it is to charge a large boat from. To give you an idea, we saw usages over 200kws per day just on the boat! While this system was as big as possible on a residential home, it certainly didn't wipe out the bill. But it did take a thousands plus per quarter chunk off...

And as a general rule, the grander the home, the bigger the bill.
